Square Tubing
Square Tubing
Square tubing is a type of hollow structural section (HSS) with a square cross-section, sometimes called a box section. Square tubing’s shape provides much more strength and rigidity in comparison to channels or angles, and it’s also easy to weld, form, and cut. Due to the versatility of its design, steel square tubing can be used for a variety of applications including structural support, general fabrication, manufacturing, and repairs.
We offer a variety of ready-to-ship carbon steel square tubing sizes, as well as new Jumbo Square Tubing. Our square tubing inventory comes in precut and mill lengths, or custom cut to your specifications.

Steel Square Tubing FAQs
Square tubing is stronger than structural products such as channels and angles, but when it comes to tubing, round cross-sections have higher flex and torsional strength than square cross-sections. However, strength can vary based on several factors, including size, thickness, and finish.
